Welcome to the GEODESOLA project! We have the pleasure to present a virtual guide on sustainable development, which is a collection of six essays prepared by geographers – academic staff and graduates of the University of Warsaw in collaboration with the Polish Geographical Society.
If you would like to organize your basic knowledge about the concept of sustainable development and, by the way, learn about the effects of the cooperation of the University of Warsaw with partner institutions from Latin America on this subject, you’ve come to the right place !!! We will be happy to share our knowledge and experiences with you, and short essays seem to work best as our form of communication. It will all be reliable and described in simple language.
The very first essay will give you a smooth introduction to the topic of sustainable development. Next essays are based on Latin American examples. They will be added to this page one after another until 17 March 2021, when the International Congress of Geographers and Latin Americanists devoted to sustainable development starts at the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies of the University of Warsaw.
