Society

The Polish Geographical Society, founded in Warsaw in January 1918, continues its tradition, and through present activities develops the future of Polish geography. With respect to achievements of previous generations of geographers, The Polish Geographical Society faces difficulties and challenges of a changing world, phenomenon of globalization, and active and responsible membership of Poland in the European Union.

The Polish Geographical Society promotes achievements of Polish geography in the national and international, scientific and educational arena. The Polish Geographical Society as a representation of Polish geographers cares about tradition and (in parallel) discusses and sets new goals and objectives for optimal and effective development of the geography.
