On bahalf of EUGEO The Association of Geographical Societies in Europe, we are sending you up-to-date information about the 8th EUGEO Congress, which will take place in Prague (Czechia) from the 28th June to the 1st July 2021. Due to unpredictable situation around the coronavirus pandemic, the 8th EUGEO Congress will be organized as a fully hybrid event, which means that participants will be allowed to choose between physical and online participation.
EUGEO 2021 main topic
The main topic of the congress, Sustainable geographies in the heart of Europe, refers to the passion geographers have for the exploration of the world that surrounds us. Understanding complexity and fragility of geographical environment as well as of the own discipline has been an essential part of many geographical efforts.
EUGEO 2021 abstract submission
The deadline for submission of individual paper proposals, which has been extended until 15th February. You can either assign your abstract to one of the proposed sessions (list of the sessions is provided in the submission form) or leave assigning your contribution to a particular session to the organizing committee. Although you will be allowed to switch between physical and online participation depending on your current situation, we ask you to indicate your preference as regards the possibility of online presentation along with submitting your abstract.
Abstract submission is free of charge, but please note that submitting your abstract doesn’t mean you are registered for the congress. To confirm your participation at the congress, you must register separately.
EUGEO 2021 registration
The deadline for early bird registration is 30th April 2021 at the moment. We are pleased to announce that you can register on-line. Select your registration fee, pay before 30th April, 2021 and benefit from the early registration fee.
We are also happy to announce that the EUGEO Association will refund registration fees of 20 selected student participants. The participants eligible for the support will be chosen on the basis of evaluation of their presentations. Further information will be provided on the congress website.
